Almost every Christian causality begins in one place, and likewise almost every spiritual victory commences from that same location. I am convinced that every child of God has been equipped with everything they need to succeed as a Christian at the moment of salvation. Though we could take time to examine each of these blessings, the one I am most concerned with is the Word of God. Your attitude, approach, and application of the Bible will determine your spiritual maternity or immaturity. Far too many Christians are anemic, spiritual weak and feeble, malnourished from withholding the necessary diet of God’s Word from their lives. If you are going to succeed as a Christian, and be all God ultimately wants you to be, you NEED the Word.
Focused on the Word is designed to help you grow as a Christian; learning how to develop a regular, personal devotional life. Each day there is Scripture reading, a brief devotional, and a series of questions. Here is how it is supposed to work:
Starting on December 31, 2019, a daily devotional will be posted on this blog each day. The daily devotional will post around 1 AM, so if you are up early you can access the content in the morning. I encourage you to leave a comment on the devotions and ask questions that others and myself can answer. This will encourage deeper thinking and challenge each of us to focus more on the Word.
Along with the daily devotionals, I will also continue to post content weekly of helpful advice to help you grow in your spiritual walk with the Lord. Practical helps, devotion advice, book reviews, and more will all be offered. My intention is to be a help to Christians who desire to grow in their love for the Lord and knowledge of Him through the study of the Word of God. If I can be a help to you in any way, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com
